This day we usually do a lot of winter sport and games. And we eat shrove buns. Even we were very active!
Sirpa washed the huge windows of her aunts place.
Birgit was at first taxidriver to her children taking them to ice rink to play Ringette. After that Birgit took a long run in the forest.

Missed it!!
I´m so sorry I missed our get-together yesterday. I was really looking forward to hearing Birgitta tell about the Samí people. And telling what I learnt about the Aborigine. I´ve seen pictures of their art and they´re beautiful! I love their dot paintings and was interested in learning more about those.
But then I read the novel "Dr. Wooreddy´s Prescription for Enduring the Ending of the World" by Colin Johnson, a.k.a Mudrooroo, and that`s why the history of the Aboriginal people, especially Tasmanian, got the biggest share of my attention.
It was tough reading. Words like massacre, annihilation, rape, diseases were in the centre. The history of Australia is violent. Most of the early settlers were men, soldiers and sailors and convicts who England used to ship off to Australia. Later there were weird laws which enabled the government to take Aboriginal children from their parents to be raised in white families or orphanages. I´m glad those days are gone.

Delicacies and Questions!
Hi Everybody!
It was very nice to read the blogs of our groups. At least I had to find there are so many gourmetpeople among us.
So I decided to tell you about my experiences with two of my grandsons.
On the 19th October I had invited Daniel and Tuomas to Tampere. It was my birthday present to Daniel 11 years. At first we saw the musical Adams Family. It was really funny, just good for all of us three.
After that we had dinner. Daniel had to choose the place. It was clear we did not want to go to any Hamburger. So his decision was Restaurant Astor.
In the practised manner they studied the menucard. Both of them found they have never eated escargots. So we ordered them as starter.
The boys liked them so much I was happy to get two pieces!
Then the main course. Daniel wanted to taste pigeon
and Tuomas reindeer fillet.
For the dessert one boy did choose banana baked in And the other mangosorbet.
the oven.
We had our water to drink in wineglasses, so it was nice for me to show how to make a toast.
Even for me it was a lovely afternoon with two young gentlemen!
Unfortunally our group has been very busy last weeks, so we haven`t had any time to meet or discuss.
Sirpa has enough to do with her english groups, Birgit has to work hard as CEO of the hotell and I am busy with several organisations, grandchildren and many hobbies! But every Monday I have my english lessons.
For next meeting I have following questions:
1.How can we use Skype for group meeting?
2.How can we use Drive for group meeting?
Hopefully we can make some plans now on the Wednesday.
Nice to meet again!
